-
To produce a community-centered screening of Neptune Frost, the Afrofuturist musical by Saul Williams and Anisia Uzeyman, fostering dialogue around abolitionist frameworks, Black radical imagination, and collective care.
-
A cinematic gathering rooted in liberation and imagination. The evening blended film, art, and conversation in a space designed for healing, reflection, and cultural celebration.
-
We transformed Crenshaw Dairy Mart’s outdoor space into an immersive screening environment. The program opened with The Beauty President, a short documentary by Whitney Skauge, setting the tone for an evening of critical engagement. Post-screening, we facilitated a panel featuring directors Saul Williams and Anisia Uzeyman, alongside Inglewood-based artists Autumn Breon and juice wood, delving into themes of abolition, mutual aid, and Black creative futures.
-
The event drew a vibrant local audience, sparking meaningful conversations and reinforcing CDM’s role as a hub for community-driven art and activism. Attendees left inspired to envision and build liberated futures through creativity and collective action.
